Something I Hate...7

I hate people who make music from trash.

Seriously, it's enough to put me off ever throwing anything away...ever. I would please like some assurances from my local government that the next time I toss an old frying pan in the garbage, it's not going to turn up on stage a month later being used as a high-hat by some smelly weirdo in a sleeveless top.

Because it's always a sleeveless shirts with these people.

  1. So far this list could be directly translated into my "Things I Find Endlessly Comical" list.

If ever you come across a roller-blading- trash-can-percussionist-saxaphonist-with-creative-facial-hair-in-stonewashed-jean-parachute-pants, please document your experience through video recording. That would bring me great joy.

  2. Ugh, I hate this too. You see this a lot in the city. You see anything that can kind of pass as doing "something" and not just panhandling. And I know that sounds really insensitive, but really, try listening to some bun bang on a plastic detergent bucket while standing waiting fifteen minutes for the subway, and then tell me how sensitive you are.

  4. I don't mind the street musicians as much as the dorks from Stomp. Those are just dancers pretending to be musicians. I hate dancers.

(Except my wife, and all our fine dance customers in the dance studio that we own)

What can I say, I'm a musician stuck in a house full of dancers.

    I am not bitter
